The Cape and Islands Summer Youth Works Program 2021 is a state-funded youth educational program that helps teens and young adults get the skills needed to find and keep jobs. Participants take part in a virtual 6-week program during the summer and are paid $13.50 per hour for every hour of participation. We anticipate the program to be no more than a total of 150 hours during the 6-week period.
In order to be considered for the program you must
- Be 14 to 21 years of age at time of submitting application
- Reside in participating towns on Cape Cod with priority given to youth who reside in the town of Barnstable
- Have access to a smartphone, iPad, desktop computer with camera and microphone or Chromebook
- Submit completed application and all requested documents to determine your eligibility for the program
Space is limited. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled. We recommend that you submit your application and documents as soon as you are able. Placement in the program is based on a first come/first serve basis based on date eligibility is determined. Please note the date of the application submission is not the same date as the date of eligibility.
